HAND CRAFTED USING HARDWOODS PLANKED ON A SHAPED MAIN FRAME

HISTORY

Built in 1952 with the help of Enzo Ferrari himself, the Arno XI has a 12-cylinder
Ferrari racing engine, taken from a Type 375 Ferrari grand prix
 car but with the
addition of two superchargers. The result is 502bhp.

On the water, that equates to over 150mph, a speed that on 15 October 1953
the Arno XI hit on Lake Iseo in Italy to take a world speed record (for an 800kg boat)

It was built specifically for the purpose of achieving that record-breaking speed by Achille Castoldi
speedboat lover and friend of Ferrari racing driver Alberto Ascari
