RETURNS POLICY

MODELBOATBITS aim to provide our customers items that are suitable for their application.
We want you to be confident in your purchase, but we understand that sometimes you might
change your mind. That’s why we offer customers a 14 day refund promise.


Non-Returnable goods:
Whilst we endeavour to make your shopping experience with us as pleasurable as possible,
there are some items / products that are non-returnable.
These include Customised component's that are made to customers specific instruction's.
again this does not affect your statutory rights


What to do if you change your mind:
If you have changed your mind or you have ordered the wrong product. Email us: steve@modelboatbits.com
Alternatively call us on: 07921 032624 and we will be happy to refund your purchase (excluding P&P)
once the goods have been returned safely to us. 
We only offer refunds for non-faulty items when the goods are returned unopened and in the original packaging;
products must be in a saleable condition when returned and we reserve the right to refuse to refund should items
not fit this criteria.
When returning items through the Post Office we advise that you obtain a free proof of posting.
In the case of the goods being lost in transit, where appropriate you should use a service that has
insurance, so as if goods are lost in transit you are able to pursue a claim through the Post Office.
We cannot accept responsibility for goods lost in transit and you will be liable for the cost postage,
we do not operate a postage free returns service.


Faulty or Damaged goods:
If goods are faulty or damaged when they arrive or there has been a discrepancy with your order,
please contact us immediately on our customer services hotline 07921 032624 (lines are open Mon-Fri 10am - 4pm).
Failure to report issues within a reasonable time frame may effect your ability to claim a refund for these goods.

If you have received the incorrect item please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
When returning items it’s essential that you include the correct documentation, where appropriate we will
of course arrange for courier collection for larger items, or send you a postage paid returns envelope / box.
NB we will not accept any returned packages without prior notice. Where we provide courier / postage paid services
we will accept responsibility for goods in transit.


NB In both instances above items will not be refunded until returned items are received on our premises,
Then a refund will be applied accordingly, this process can take 3-5 working days, credit card transactions can take
up to 3-5 further days to show funds back in your account.
Refunds will be applied using the same payment method ie credit cards transactions will be refunded back
onto the same credit card, cheque payments will be refunded by cheque
The terms and conditions set out above do not effect your statutory rights under the Distance Selling Act 2000,


Substitution of goods / services:
If the product you have ordered is not in stock, we will never substitute your order for an alternative product,
you will be notified by phone or email and where appropriate the transaction cancelled and refunds applied.
